The A&E department is in an improved position today. However, so that A and E staff can continue to concentrate on providing treatment for patients who need emergency care, they are asking people with minor conditions to attend Orsett Minor Injuries Unit where possible.
Orsett MIU can provide treatment and care for people with:
• Uncomplicated fractures
• Insect and animal bites
• Minor cuts and bruises
• Minor burns and scalds
• Minor head injuries
• Foreign bodies in ears, nose or throat or piercing skin
• Eye injuries and infections
• Sprains and strains
