PAEDIATRIC consultants, doctors and nurses at Basildon University Hospital swapped their uniforms for mud by completing the Tough Mudder.
The gang completed the 10 mile messy obstacle course at Henley on Thames on Saturday 6 May.
They raised £2,108.90 for Basildon University Hospital’s Polly Parrot Appeal, which is raising funds for additional kit for children’s areas within the hospital sites.
Suzanne Reynolds, matron (pictured front centre), said: “I absolutely loved it! It was challenging – don’t get me wrong. Those smiles hide pain and exhaustion. But it was great to be able to contribute to the Polly Appeal, especially as we know first-hand the difference the appeal is making to our young patients.”
