The M25 anti-clockwise in Kent is currently closed between J2 and J1b of the A282, while we assist police and emergency services with a serious collision.
Road users are being diverted and should exit the M25 at J2 and take the 2nd exit onto the A282 distributor lane (that runs adjacent to the motorway), to then re-join at J1B.
There are also delays of 45 mins on M25 clockwise between Jct 29 and QE2 bridge.
The Dartford Crossing is set to be closed until at least 9pm
Tailbacks of more than seven miles have formed on the northbound carriageway of the QEII bridge and back on to the M25 after the road was closed following a serious collision earlier this afternoon, which involved a lorry, a van and a motorbike.
There are also long delays back into Essex on the southbound carriageway, as police attempt to deal with the incident.
Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called at around 3pm on Thursday 15 June 2017, regarding a serious collision involving a lorry, van and motorbike on the Essex-bound carriageway of the A282 prior to the Dartford crossing,”
“Police officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service are at the scene where the carriageway has been closed at junction 2 and a diversion is being put in place to allow traffic to re-join the A282 at junction 1B.
“Highways crews are working with Kent Police to free vehicles that are stuck in the queue after junction 2 but prior to the collision.
“Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes.”
No problems on QE2 bridge apart from drivers slowing down to have a look at the road traffic collision.
