All roads lead to the Orsett Show


THIS year’s Orsett Show will be held on Saturday, 1st September and will be the 112th Show.

Georgina Clark, Show Secretary confirmed that The Port of Tilbury has kindly agreed to be the Show’s Main Sponsor again this year and said “we are absolutely delighted that The
Port of Tilbury will be working with us again this year and look forward to a fantastic Show”.

Orsett ShowNew attractions for the 2018 Show are:-

Paul Dale Asset and Site Director, Port of Titbury said “we’re thrilled to be able to support this fantastic event once again- At The Port of Tilbury, being involved in the local communities in which we operate is very important to us and we know how valuable this event has been for over 100 years.”

The 2018 Show Charity is confirmed as The Polly Parrot Appeal for Children’s Services, Charity Team Member, Clair Grayston said “Last year the Butterfly Appeal at Basildon Hospital was the Show’s Charity of the Year and we were exuberated at the news that the Orsett Show has adopted The Polly Parrot Appeal as its Charity tor 2OL8”

Georgina confirmed that this year’s Show will again offer a great family day out for all ages. There will be the traditional attractions such as Horse Events and Competitions, Agricultural, Horticultural, Hobbies & Handicrafts, Schools’ Marquee, Craft Stalls, Trade Stands, Steam Engines, Dog Show, Circus Skills but back by popular demand we have Titan the Rob, The Sheep Show, Farming through the Year presented by the Young Farmers and the Essex Beekeepers Association.

We are also pleased to say that Thurrock Council and the Young Producers have again organised Orsett Show’s Got Talent and the winner and runner-up will be announced on Show Day. There will also be an opportunity to see lots of local talent on the Stage.
