Tilbury 1 v 2 Bury Town

A home defeat by Bury Town saw the Dockers fall to second from bottom and decide to part company with manager Joe Keith.

Tilbury had opened the scoring through Jack Carlile (66′)

Promotion-chasing Bury Town hit back with a double strike from Cemal Ramadan (81′ and 85′ pen).

On Sunday morning the club parted company with manager, Joe Keith.

Joe had been in the post for 13 months, after taking over from Gary Henty.

Assistant Manager Lee Hodges also left the club.

Club Chairman Danny Nash commented “The club would like to thank Joe and Lee for their excellent service to the club and wish them all the very best”

Marc Harrison has been appointed first team manager with immediate effect, with Liam Wallace as his assistant. After leaving Basildon United just a week ago, both Marc and Liam are excited with the appointment.

Marc and Liam are no strangers to Tilbury after managing Tilbury Under 16s two years ago and had great success with Basildon Town in the Essex Olympian League before taking Basildon United out of the Essex Senior League last season into the Bostik North.

Tilbury FC welcome Marc and Liam to the club and will be taking training on Tuesday.

The Dockers return to action on Saturday away at Maldon and Tiptree.
