BASILDON and Thurrock University Hospital have expressed their thanks for the ‘Eggs for Heroes’ appeal.
The appeal, which the Thurrock-based bus company Ensignbus were behind, saw children in Thurrock and shops in the area working together to show their gratitude for the work the NHS staff at the hospital do.
One of the Ensignbus buses arrived at the hospital specially decorated with thankyou/ rainbow posters that had been sent in by children in Thurrock and nearby areas. The bus was also filled with Easter Eggs, donated by supermarkets in the area, to give to the NHS staff.
Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital Charity posted the the following message on their Facebook page:
“Thank you so so much to everyone at EnsignBusCo who donated Easter eggs and pictures for our NHS staff and coming along this evening to clap for our Hero’s.”
In another message, posted yesterday (Friday 10th April) they said:
“Just some of the amazing works of art that decorated the EnsignBusCo bus that visited the hospital last night (see images below). These pictures will now be used to display in areas around the Hospital.”
