BASILDON and Thurrock University Hospital has been the worst-hit hospital in Essex from patients dying with coronavirus, the latest figures from Public Health England show.
121 people have now sadly died with coronavirus at the hospital (as of today 13th April). Previously, the worst-hit hospital in the region had been the Princess Alexandra hospital in Harlow, which has currently suffered 117 coronavirus-related deaths.
The latest figure for cases of coronavirus in Thurrock is 189 as of today. This is up by 3 since yesterday.
The number of people to have died with coronavirus in Essex has risen by 37 in 24 hours, taking the total to 509 the latest figures from Public Health England released earlier today (Monday, April 13) show.
Figures show 75 more cases of coronavirus in Essex have been confirmed in the last 24 hours with the total for the county as a whole now standing at 1,887.
Please let it stressed that figures only take into account hospital coronavirus-related deaths.
