THERE are now 195 recorded cases of the coronavirus in Thurrock, the latest figures released by Public Health England today (Tuesday April 14th) show.
Figures show show that 45 more people have lost their lives in Essex hospitals in the last 24 hours.
A further 90 coronavirus tests in Essex have come back positive since yesterday.
The total number of confirmed cases in the county stands at 1,977 as of today.
Figures released by NHS England show Basildon Hospital recorded ten new deaths of patients dying with coronavirus, bringing its total to 131 deaths so far.
This means it remains the worst-affected hospital in the region, as was reported yesterday.
Please can it made clear that figures only take into account coronavirus-related hospital deaths.
