BASILDON and Thurrock University Hospital remains the worst-hit in the East of England by patients dying with coronavirus, according to figures released by Public Health England today (16th April).
159 patients have died with coronavirus at the hospital.
Figures show 33 more people in Essex have lost their lives to the virus in 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths from patients dying with coronavirus across the county to 641.
There are currently 201 recorded cases of coronavirus in Thurrock although please note that figure is from yesterday (15th April).
An updated figure for cases in the borough is expected to be released later today.
Please note that figures released only take into account coronavirus-related hospital deaths.
