BASILDON and Thurrock University Hospital have expressed a massive thank you to Meals For The NHS and The Daily Grind for ensuring their NHS staff were well fed yesterday evening.
Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital Charity said on their Facebook page: “Thank you to Meals For The NHS and The Daily Grind who fed our staff this evening. The food was a massive hit!”
Meals for the NHS give you the power to directly feed medical staff at local hospitals from your home.
They say on their website mealsfortheNHS.com – “You donate meals. We order from local restaurants. Hospital staff eat. Tonight.”

As of this morning, (21 April) Meals for the NHS’s website states they have delivered 53,585 meals to 59 hospitals in the UK.

The Daily Grind coffee shop often work with Meals for the NHS to get food and drink out to hospital staff.
They are also operate Lockdown Lunches which allow people to get home deliveries during the time of the coronavirus crisis.
