DESPITE the difficulties of these times, it seems nothing can knock the community spirit in the area.
Some great examples of generosity and comradery have been seen in the community and none less than in the case of Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals Charity, who continue to receive support thanks to heroes and heroines.
On their Facebook page, the charity posted the following message along with the accompanying image (below): “Thank you to the guys from Team NHS who come along and donated amazing care boxes for our staff. Thank you to everyone in the community who has supported their fundraising.”
The charity also posted: “Thank you to Carol (pictured below) and the coffee pod for coming along this weekend to serve hot drinks and biscuits to our staff free of charge.”
The charity said: “Thank you to Vange Primary School for their artwork to show support to all of our staff.”
The incredible display is pictured below.
‘Supplies for NHS Hospital staff Basildon & Thurrock’, previously reported on by YourThurrock, is a Facebook group that has seen great showcases of generosity from the community towards the NHS staff.
In one post, Sheree Didham posted the following: “Basildon Theatres were so thankful for the gifts given today. …Chocolate, Scrub bags, and most gratefully received, very much needed PPE..Coveralls and visors.
“Thank you for thinking of us at this difficult time, your kindness was much appreciated.”
