COVID cases in Thurrock continue to climb.
Brentwood has the highest infection rate in Essex. In the week to 26 October, 176.6 people per 100,000 had the virus – up on the 120.7 cases in the week to 19 October.

Thurrock – which, as a unitary authority, is not in tier two – has the second-highest rate in the county – increasing from 132.5 to 160.6 per 100,000 over the same period.
Meanwhile, four more people have died at hospitals in the region, having tested positive for Covid-19.
They were patients at Basildon Hospital, the James Paget in Gorleston, the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Trust and Norwich Community Hospital.
