SOUTH Ockendon-based building company H W Wilson Limited has ended its 90th Anniversary year with a final ‘Thank You’ to Basildon Hospital – presenting the nurses and staff there with biscuits as a small token of thanks for all they have done for the community in 2020.
Peter Wiffen, Managing Director, said:
“H W Wilson has worked at Basildon Hospital from when it opened in 1973. 2020 will leave us with everlasting admiration of what hospitals all over the country have done for us thanks to the ultimate dedication from all the staff within. No words or gestures can adequately show our appreciation but we wanted to end the year by reminding the nurses and staff at Basildon Hospital that we are grateful for what they’ve done.
“If Covid-19 has taught us anything it has taught us that true heroes do not wear capes and fly from one disaster to another. True heroes continue working through every day in the face of adversity and we have found our true heroes working in the NHS”.
H W Wilson has made several donations to Basildon Hospital since the beginning of the Pandemic to show its appreciation for the efforts of all the team there and donations have included a new television for the A&E Staff Room and the installation of 20 wooden seats throughout the hospital grounds for staff to relax and gather their thoughts.
