|Traffic bulletin: Overnight closures starts this week on the Dartford Crossing Drivers are being advised to plan ahead and leave extra time during their journeys due to upcoming overnight closures on the Dartford Crossing. |
|The Dartford Crossing will be closed overnight for essential maintenance and repairs as part of work ahead of the winter period. The east tunnel will be closed overnight at different times between Thursday 3 November and Friday morning 11 November 2022 as follows: Thursday 3 November, the closure will take place from 8:30pm to 5:30am, Friday 4 November, the closure will be from 9:00pm to 6:00am, From Sunday 6 November until Friday 11 November, the east tunnel will be also closed overnight between 8:30pm and 5:30am. A diversion for vehicles less than 4.8m (15‘-9”) high will be in place via the adjacent west tunnel. For vehicles between 4.8m (15‘-9”) and 5.0m (16’-6”) high, an alternative diversion will be in place via the M25 clockwise. The Dartford Crossing will be also closed overnight between 10pm on Saturday 5 November and 5am on Sunday 6 November for routine inspections and maintenance. |
Southbound traffic will be diverted via the east tunnel, while northbound traffic will continue to use the west (left hand side) tunnel as normal.
