THREE top comedians, a venue packed to the rafters and two hours of the best stand-up comedy in the UK today, that’s what The Comedy Club at the Orsett Hall Hotel is all about.
AFTER several successful shows in 2012, Friday night saw the return of the “The Comedy Club” to Orsett Hall. The event was held in the Pavilion and was the perfect setting for what promised to be a great night. Doors opened at 6pm so there was plenty of time before the show started to get a meal and to make a proper night of it. The food available was typical “comedy night” fare such as curry, chilli, burgers, rice, chips and for those watching their figure, a lovely salad.
AFTER a fantastic run of shows through 2012, we welcome back the Official Comedy Club to the Orsett Hall with the first show of 2013 on Friday 1 February 2013. Come and join THEM and see how the professionals do it in style.

FOLLOWING the success of their first Friday Night Live event, Orsett Hall are pleased to announce Friday Night Live II featuring COLUMBIA, who are Essex’s Finest Cover Band, playing chart hits from the last six decades, including: The Kinks, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, The Jacksons and even Dolly Parton right through to today’s classics such as Katy Perry, Oasis, Maroon 5, Take That and Kings Of Leon. Delivering every song with their own trademark style.
THE Official Comedy Club continues its hilarious run of shows at the Orsett Hall Hotel on Thursday 29 November, so it’s time to let loose and laugh the night away. With three of the UK’s finest stand up comedians as seen on TV, you know you’re in for a top night out!
THERE ARE wedding fayres and there are wedding fayres. Sixteen other hotels and organisations had wedding fayres on the same day as Orsett Hall. But the car park was packed and so was the adjoining field! There was an array of stalls that lined the suites and halls. Flowers, dresses, hats, singers: even a chimney sweep.
The Orsett Hall are hosting a Boutique Fayre on Wednesday 24 October 2012 between 7.30pm and 11.00pm. Come along for a fantastic evening of pampering and shopping!

IT IS ONE OF THE highlights of the season and although the leaves are turning to brown, many couples are thinking about their wedding next year. So what better time to visit Orsett Hall Hotel this Sunday between 11:00 until 16:00 (no admission).

TOWIE’S Lucy Meckleburgh lit up the MacMillan coffee morning at Orsett Hall on Friday morning. Resplendent in a lime green dress and trailed by a number of papparazzi, Lucy played host as a large number of friends enjoyed coffee as well as shopping in a number of stalls which certainly had an “Only Way is Essex” feel to them.
Come to the Orsett Hall tonight for the COMEDY CLUB NIGHT at 9pm (Doors one at 9pm and the bar is open until 1am) and you’ll see three top comedians that will have you laughing out loud!
There was not a piece of grounds without a form of entertainment – there were lots of Inflatables, Circus Skills, Football Skills, Face Painting, Quad Bikes, BBQ, Pimms, Arts and Crafts, Craft Stalls, Rodeo Bull, Psychics, DJ, a huge Stage and a special show from Jimbo the Partyman.
There will be an Inflatable Village with lots of interactive inflatables including Bouncy Castles, Crazy Golf, Penalty Shoot Out, Fun Runs, Slides, Climbing Pyramid, Trampolines, Circus Skills and a special Under 5’s Area with Soft Play, Messy Play and an Inflatable. Wristbands for the Inflatable Village are £7.00 each and are unlimited for lots of bounce and fun! Don’t forget your socks!
In September 2011 a breach of the noise abatement notice was witnessed by an Environmental Officer from the Council. A further breach was witnessed in October 2011. A noise abatement notice was served on the Licence Holder and Designated Premises Supervisor, Mr. Stephen Haynes, formerly of Orsett Hall.
The evening costs £49 per person and includes a three course meal and half a bottle of wine, as well as the murder mystery. There is also the option to stay in the hotel overnight and have breakfast for £199, based on two people sharing a double room.
THE CHAPEL at Orsett Hall Hotel has now opened for wedding ceremonies. The traditional building combines a church feel with a modern sensibility to make a couple’s day perfect.
THE cast of Aladdin recently enjoyed a visit to Orsett Hall’s lovely Garden Restaurant as a special treat. They were very impressed with the ambience and fantastic menu and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Widow Twankey was a big fan of the deserts and booked to come back for a special Champagne Afternoon Tea with the Genie during a break from Panto performances.
FOR ANY would-be bride and groom, it is a must see event. The Orsett Hall Wedding Fayre is on Sunday between 11am and 4pm. There are well over sixty exhibitors with a fascinating array of services available.
There was so much to do for the whole family including an Inflatable Village, Face Painters, BBQ, Bar, Quad Bikes, Trampolines, Surf Simulator, Tribute Acts, Psychics, Twirlers, Dancers, Craft Stalls, Swing Boats, a Laser Tag Maze and much, much more. Jimbo the Partyman entertained the audience of over 350 people in the Pavilion at his show which was full of Jimbo magic!
It’s FREE ADMISSION and for the children there will be lots of FABADOUSA fun courtesy of The Partyman Company. There will be a Live Show from JIMBO THE PARTYMAN, Swing Boats, Face Painting, Side Stalls, Quad Bikes and much more!
