BACK In May 2018, Abbie Akinbohun won the ward of South Chafford. It was a surprise but not to Cllr Akinbohun. Some thought her decision to campaign holding a placard outside a station was a bit eccentric but as she said: “Most of the voters are commuters. I was simply going to them and communicating”.
We sat down with cllr Akinbohun at the wonderful Mangal restaurant in Grays and asked her how the last nine months had been.
