RESIDENTS of Thurrock are invited to join a newly-established Virtual Surgery hosted on Facebook, providing a direct line of communication with local independent councillors from the NPAIC group. This initiative aims to foster meaningful dialogue, allowing residents to discuss the issues that matter most to them.

The forum offers a convenient platform for residents to voice concerns, ask questions, and engage in discussions. Councillors will read and respond to these inputs and bring them to relevant council committees, ensuring that community voices are heard and considered in decision-making processes.

Recognising the diverse schedules and commitments of residents, the virtual format eliminates barriers such as travel and time constraints, making participation accessible to all. In choosing Facebook as the platform, the forum leverages a familiar and widely used medium, enhancing ease of access and engagement.

This initiative reflects a commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and active community involvement. NPAIC councillors hope that the forum will not only address immediate concerns but also build a foundation for ongoing, constructive conversations between residents and their elected representatives.

NPAIC continues to encourage the traditional routes for communication with Councillors and emphasises that residents can find out who represents their ward and their contact details here. NPAIC hopes that this format provides an alternative service for those who cannot attend surgeries in person.

To participate, residents are invited to visit Thurrock NPAIC Virtual Surgery | Facebook
