FAMILIES can once again enjoy a taste of the seaside in the heart of Brentwood as The Baytree Beach has officially returned for the summer season.
Open daily from 10am to 4pm*, the popular attraction offers children the chance to dig, play and build sandcastles while enjoying the simple pleasures of a day at the beach. Complete with buckets, spades and plenty of sand, the beach provides a fun and free activity for families visiting the shopping centre throughout the summer months.

While little ones let their imaginations run wild, parents can relax on one of the deckchairs, soak up the sunshine and enjoy a well-earned break during their visit.
The Baytree Beach is completely free to enjoy and forms part of the centre’s commitment to creating memorable experiences for families alongside its fantastic retail offering. Visitors can combine a trip to the beach with shopping at a range of popular retailers, including Waterstones, Sports Direct and Poundland, as well as a variety of independent businesses.
Adding to the summer excitement, The Baytree Shopping Centre will also be welcoming back its popular Local Artisan Market on Saturday 18th July, 10am until 4pm, featuring a range of independent traders and unique products.
The fun doesn’t stop there, with a programme of free family-friendly activities set to accompany the beach throughout the school holidays. Details of upcoming events will be announced on The Baytree Shopping Centre’s website and social media channels in the coming weeks. To kick things off, Brentwood Connected have their final Football Fiesta event taking place right here at The Baytree from 12pm until 3pm on Saturday 11th July.
Maria Kyriacou-Edwards from The Baytree Shopping Centre commented: “We are delighted to welcome back The Baytree Beach for another summer. It has become a much-loved feature of the centre and it’s wonderful to see families creating special memories together while enjoying a little taste of the seaside right here in Brentwood. With free activities, our popular local market and a fantastic range of shops, there’s plenty to enjoy at The Baytree this summer and we look forward to welcoming visitors throughout the season.”
