This month’s speaker was Leila Merriman who came to give members of TWC an insight into self -publishing. Leila has written two books on her very traumatic life story and she is currently writing a novel. With talks to WI’s, schools and on radio programmes she has a very busy and interesting life.
The members were busy taking notes and asking questions and there was a general discussion to find out the best way to promote their writing.
Chairman Joy Ridgewell welcomed Andy Swestun who became a new member of the TWC.
Mary Vear was commended on her entry poem for the Brentwood Writers Circle competition the subject was finding words to rhyme with Orange not an easy subject.
It was agreed to purchase a DVD of the Celebrations held in October for the TAC and Thameside Theatre anniversary.
A miniature rose was presented from the members to Tina Thompson to welcome her back after her recent stay in hospital.
Tickets have been obtained to attend the TOPS performance Of Enchanted on
22nd July at the Thameside Theatre.
