THE Rotary Club of Thurrock Gateway would like to send a ‘MASSIVE BIG THANK YOU’ to the shoppers of Sainsbury’s Chafford Hundred for their generosity over last weekend…A staggering £1043-73 was raised over the two days. The second consecutive year to break the thousand pound mark…
Around twenty or so Club members spent Saturday & Sunday meeting’n’greeting shoppers and their children to the sounds of Christmas Carols and giving out sweets to one and all and at the store whilst collecting donations on behalf of Rotary Charities both Locally and Internationally.
Thurrock Labour candidate Polly Billington helped out on both days and Rotary Club President Claire Pavitt thanked all club members for ‘freezing their socks off’ for such worthy causes.
The club would also like to thank Jacky Woodall and the management and staff @ Sainsbury’s for their support in this weekends most successful joint venture…
