STUDENTS were in high spirits celebrating their results at Palmer’s during today’s A-level Results Day especially our two high achievers from Tilbury.

Students celebrated gaining superb results with fellow students and proud staff after achieving the grades they needed to secure places at top universities. The College’s A-level pass rate remained consistently high at 97% for the second year running.

Local Tilbury girls, Natasha and Mary gained fantastic results and are both off to university.

Ex-Grays Convent High School pupil, Natasha Smith secured a place at Oxford University to study Chemistry after gaining three A*s in A-level Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.

Natasha said: “I am so happy and excited to have got my place at Oxford. I couldn’t have achieved the grades without the support from my teachers – they have been amazing, I can’t thank them enough!”

Mary Adesina attended Hassenbrook Academy and gained three As in A-level Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. She has a place secured at UCL to study Bio Medical Science but is hoping to go through adjustment to study Medicine at a top university.

Mary Adesina, said: “My two years at Palmer’s have been great – The library was my second home and without the support from my teachers I don’t think I would be here celebrating my 3 As. I’m also really grateful to god and my family for their support.”
