GABLE HALL school have once again topped the league for the number of students passing key traditional subjects.
The Ebacc subjects are: English, Maths, a science, a humanities subject and a language.
The results are broadly in line with the table for 5 A* to C (inc English and Maths). Harris Academy compare a little bit poorly whilst one’s eyes are drawn to Gateway Academy’s grade of 2%.
The push for a return to the more traditional subjects has been backed by the government who have been concerned about a “rush to the bottom” where students may leave school with 23 GCSE’s but without basic numeracy or literacy skills.
