In an exclusive interview, the former Governors of Chafford Hundred Primary School have given their reasons for resigning from their posts.
In measured terms, Chair Farida Mukadam, Vice-Chair Ian Kyle and Caroline Bernard (all Parent Governors as well) detail the path that led them to “lose faith” with the Headteacher Mike Lovett and the Local Education Authority.
It is clear that the issues were:
1. Funding “A very healthy carry forward in October to a huge deficit in January”
2. Clear lines of communication
3. The threats of redundancy and the large numbers of staff leaving the school.
4. Their disappointment with Thurrock Council
YourThurrock will be seeking an interview with the Headteacher Mike Lovett in order to give him the right of reply.
