The FA Cup is visiting Thurrock for the Let’s Kick Racism Out Of Football tournament on Saturday 4 July at Thames Rugby Club, South Ockendon, RM15 5JQ.
The all day tournament is being held as part of Kick It Out (KIO) 2009 and MPs Andrew Mackinlay and Angela Smith are expected to attend.
The organisers, Thurrock Tigers Football Club, will also be donating 50 per cent of the net proceeds to St Luke’s Hospice in Basildon, which is dedicated to the care and support of those with advanced life threatening illnesses.
This is the fourth year the Football Association is supporting this event.
The competition starts at 9am and is open to all Under 8s to Under 14s teams. The entry fee is £30 per team with players having the opportunity to win some great prizes.
Other activities on the day include a bouncy castle, barbecue, raffle prizes and a penalty shoot out competition and people will be able to have their picture taken and printed with the FA Cup.
