Saturday 25 July sees the annual Party in the Park take place in South Ockendon from 12 until 5pm.
Held in Dilkes Park, entry is free and it is the perfect family day out and a chance to see what the community groups in the area are up to.
There will be a DJ playing summer sounds while you sample the food and refreshments available.
Youngsters can enjoy the rides and there is also a children’s entertainer on hand to keep the little ones amused.
There is a large arena where you can see dancing, keep fit and twirling displays.
You can also take part in “It’s A Knockout” and buy items from the many charity fund stalls.
The highlight of the day will be a flypast by an RAF Lancaster bomber. This beautiful aircraft was the most successful bomber used by the Royal Air Force in the famous battle of Britain flight.
South Ockendon Community Forum (SOCF) who have organised the party, are honoured that the aircraft is part of the event.
Cllr Joy Redsell, Cabinet Member for Communities said: “The organisers have pulled out all the stops this year and the event promises to be a great day for all.”
