THE DOUBLE Olympic champion was the Guest of Honour at the William Edwards school prizegiving evening.
Mr Thompson still possesses that ease and swagger that made him such a magnificent athlete. He doesn’t stand on ceremony or pomp but tells it like it is.
He spent the day with the students who were clearly so impressed with being in the presence of the great man.
