A group of Thurrock primary school boys will be battling with the best in the country when they take part in the Carita House National Gymnastic Finals next month.
On saturday (6 February) the six young gymnasts from Stifford Primary School in Parker Road, Grays, went to Mark Hall School in Harlow to take part in the regional finals ― coming away victorious.
Now they are preparing for a trip to Stoke on Trent to display their individual vault, floor and group floor skills.
Mark Jones, head teacher at Stifford Primary, said: “I was really delighted by our success at Harlow. Our young lads put in a tremendous amount of hard work, but I didn’t expect them to come away winners!
“Now we’ll be working doubly hard for the national finals.”
