EAST THURROCK boss John Coventry was full of praise for his team after they ran Lowestoft close in what has been described as the “game of the season”.
John said: “The effort and the commitment of my boys was outstanding. We went away without any points but left with so many positives.
“We got to 2-1 up, we pegged them back to 3-3 and even at 4-3 down we should have equalised. However, I am not downhearted’
John made special mention to Max Cornhill.
He said: “He had Scottish International Gary Holt to mark but gave him the run-around all day. He was immense.”
It might be a case of from frying pan to fire as The Rocks now face Concord Rangers on tuesday night.
Covo said: “Bring it on. We are now really excited about this game. Saturday could well be a great springboard.”
