Communities Minister Visits DP World

THE FIRST day of dredging at the DP World London Gateway site in Stanford-le-Hope was marked with a visit by Communities Minister, Shahid Malik.

Mr Malik was taken down to the shoreline as the massive machinery pumped into action. The Port of London Authority veesel then took the minister and Chief Executive, Simon Moore on a fact finding mission around the dredging site.

With Mr Malik connected with the borough recently for the Thurrock’s Next Top Boss and about to embark on a private visit to the National Skills Academy in Purfleet, the Labour minister clearly has great faith that Thurrock is a beacon for hope and regeneration as the country clambers out of recession.

Critics have accused Labour of climbing on the back of a globally important operation that they have not contributed a penny to.

YourThurrock spoke to the minister about the importance of the project, described by CEO Simon Moore as the Heathrow of shipping, to the borough and to the country.

  1. This is the same Shahid Malik that was shown in the following clip during the 2008 Global Peace and Unity Conference wishing for no non muslim MP’s and also a Mulsim Prime Minister, also about the amount of UK cash that has been given to the Mulsim countries.

Have a watch and make your own mind up about Labours immigration policy from one of their own cabinet members:
