The deadline for candidates to withdraw from the local elections scheduled for Thursday, 6 May, was at noon on Tuesday, 13 April.
One announced candidate, Kay Ravenhill (UKIP), West Thurrock and South Stifford ward, has now withdrawn from the contest.
