SYD THOMPSON is 87. Originally from Elgin in the north of scotland, he has been in Thurrock for many years. Syd has seen the political leaders come and go.
As a life long Labour supporter, he first voted in 1945 and intends to vote on May 6th. Syd has locked horns with Andrew Mackinlay and says he would welcome a “chat” with all the candidates at this years election.
We caught up with Syd at the Thurrock Over 60’s to reflect on the heroes and villains over the last sixty years.
