After being rained off on sunday, dedicated volunteers from Bulphan in Bloom gave up their Bank Holiday Monday to plant 65 lavenders!
Bulphan’s Jacqui Vyse suggested the theme for this project after being inspired by planting designs whilst on a visit to Highgrove House.
After consulting Thurrock Council’s bio-diversity expert it was decided to plant a Cherry Tree surrounded by the bed of 65 lavenders.
This latest project brings Bulphan in Bloom half way through their 2010 planting calendar. Bulphan Village has been entered into both Anglia and Britain in Bloom with judging taking place in July and August.
