ANY BAND named after a track on The Clash’s first album is alright with us. That gives a clue to the average age of the journos at YourThurrock. There was already a healthy crowd in the Crooked Billet Field as the ageing punks took to the stage.
The festival looked really well-organised with young solo acts appearing on the roof of the stage as roadies got the main stage ready for the next act. The Festival doesn’t “sell-out” for top acts but does it’s level best to keep it local.

This was probably the best year for the music festival. I’ve been three years in a row now and this one topped it all, with the new stage, extra stage behind the pub and top quality performances along with the sunshine to top it all off this was a winner. The only bad part about it was my extrememly sunburnt leg.
Well done to all involved and hope to see you next year 🙂
