Fancy A Game Of Rounders?

Blackshots Playing Fields will be echoing to the crack of bat on ball on Tuesday evenings throughout the summer … and it’s not cricket!

Thurrock Council have teamed up with Rounders England to put on a series of sessions, starting on Tuesday, 20 July, giving residents a chance to have fun, meet new people, and get fit at their own pace while learning, practising and playing rounders.

Rounders England, the governing body for the sport, is launching the community Return2Rounders (R2R) project with the council.

The Project will include a series of taster sessions run by a local Rounders England coach, and will comprise of introductory coaching to batting, bowling and fielding, finishing with small sided games.

The sessions are open to anyone who would like to get involved (16 years and over), and are free of charge, operating on a simple turn up and play basis.

The project will run every Tuesday evening, between 7pm and 8pm on Blackshots Playing Fields, from 20 July to 7 September.
