Thurrock MP Probes Dartford Crossing Costs

THURROCK MP Jackie Doyle-Price received a full list in Parliament of the costs for improvements to the Dartford crossing since 2000.

Michael Penning (Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Roads and Motoring) replied.

He said: “The following table sets out Highways Agency improvements projects from April 2003 to September 2009. They include all expenditure including technology renewals but exclude maintenance and renewals activities. Details of improvements before April 2003 can be provided only at disproportionate cost.

  1. So thats £611,624 spent on various signs then. That includes £31k for signage for Dangerous Loads.I’d want to be the man who makes the signs. Good to see your £1.50 well spent and hope you enjoy sitting in a queue for a hour each day each way.
