Sports and leisure consultancy PMP has gone into administration.
Andrew Beckingham and Antony David Nygate of BDO were appointed joint administrators of the business earlier this week.
Just hours before the administrators moved in, Chime Communications announced that it had acquired PMP’s major events arm, pmplegacy.
Founded by Peter Mann, PMP Consultancy merged with Genesis Consulting in August 2009 and began trading under the name pmpgenesis.
Shortly after the merger, the directors wound up Genesis as a separate trading company and focused trading activities through pmpgenesis as part of efforts to weather the difficult economic climate.
Graham Farrant, PMP’s chief executive, left the company in June 2010 to become the Chief Executive of Thurrock Council.
Mr Farrant’s tenure begins on August 2nd.
