Andrew Roast from the award-winning Play2Learn Nursery presents his first blog on the fantastic GCSE results attained in Thurrock last week.
“Thurrock students are proudly celebrating their fantastic GCSE results this week. Over the last few weeks I have had the pleasure to be part of a group of businessmen and women to attend Ormiston Park and Grays Convent to conduct mock job interviews to help prepare them for the big wide world of employment. We conducted formal interviews, gave feedback and was able to pass on tips from a wide range of experiences.
We saw a well mannered, intelligent and focused group of young people who have great energy and enthusiasm for their futures. Put under interview pressure, they coped fantastically well and I’m not surprised they coped fantastically well with their exams. They are a shining example of good sound teaching and personal triumphs.
There are some who say the exams are made easier each and every year. Come to Thurrock, meet these young people and your perceptions will change”.
