THE STUDENTS from Nigeria and the United Kingdom said farewell to Thurrock last week. We think that we will all see them again. Probably in twenty years, probably as movers and shakers at home and abroad. We will then be able to say: Ah, we remember them. They have been a credit to the VSO.
The students have embedded themselves into the culture of Thurrock and learnt so much and also given much back. A lot of credit has to go to their tutors: Amina and Jennifer, who have run a tight ship in the UK and Nigeria but they have ensured that the best has been extracted from the students.
YourThurrock caught up with them on the final night at the Culver Centre to reflect upon the experience.
