A SON who subjected his mother to a vicious tirade of abuse and assault was told to ‘grow up” by a Grays Magistrate yesterday.
Ryan Lintott, 20, Cherwell Grove, South Ockendon pled guilty to causing hundred of pounds worth of damage to his mother’s home on the 31st August.
The court heard that Lintott had returned home at 11pm and demanded his mother’s phone to ring a pizza. When she refused, he grabbled the phone, smashed it to the phone along with two framed pictures. He then left the house but returned soon after and on being refused entry, tried to smash the door down.
His mother called the police who arrested Mr Lintott.
Presiding magistrate, Mr Fisher said: “You are not a twelve year old, having a tantrum when your mother won’t let you do something. Grow up.”
He was ordered to undertake 150 hours of unpaid work and fined £110.
