Royal Opera House Work Placement Opportunities on the Purfleet Opera at the High House Production Park
The Royal Opera House Thurrock is offering a number of work placements at the High House Production Park as part of Ludd and Isis, The Purfleet Opera.
The work placements will offer people interested in a career in the arts an opportunity to work with creative professionals and be involved in the preparations for the grand celebrations which will mark the opening of the Royal Opera House Bob and Tamar Manoukian Production Workshop in December.
Work placements will be with the production team, the backstage, technical and front of house teams working on the Purfleet Opera. The production team is looking for two Assistant Stage Managers to work with the Stage Management team from November rehearsals through to the last performance on 11 December.
Successful applicants will be required to help with props, coordinate the production, undertake administration and work on the performances. Stagehands are needed to work with our professional backstage and technical teams and ushers are needed to help with all the front-of-house duties on performance nights. These placements will begin at various times throughout November.
All these positions will offer on-site training at the High House Production Park, training at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London and invaluable work experience at a very busy and exciting live event. Applications from Thurrock residents will be particularly welcome.
