Thurrock Courts Players are back at the Thameside next week with their latest production Terry Pratchett’s “Maskerade.”
On Discworld in the opera house in Ankh Morpork it’s murder and it’s not just the singing that’s bad! Someone is killing the staff, the singers backstage and some of the audience too if they dare to sit in Box Number 8. That’s reserved for the Phantom of the Opera. He’s leaving notes all over the place about who is to die next and it seems no one can stop him! Except perhaps….Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg, the two heroic Lancre Witches who get roped into the intrigue and turn detective to stop the killing and save young singer Agnes Nitt from the clutches of the Phantom, who has her in his thrall with promises of stardom. Sounds familiar? You’re absolutely right, even on Discworld they have their Opera Phantom problems!
So fight to get a ticket at the Thameside the show runs from Thursday 14th to Saturday 16th October
