YOU had to be there to appreciate the amount of energy and activity going on at Ormiston Park Academy at their open evening last week. From chemistry experiments, singing groups, art inaction, funky maths and much much more.
The key word for the evening was achievement and headteacher Tess Walker was able to roll out the statistics. No really! Out of 3.100 schools in England and Wales, Ormiston Park is tenth in the list when you take into account what is called “Contextual Value Added” As you will see from the film, Mrs Walker had the print out and was proud to show the packed audience where the school was.
OPA is clearly an exciting place to be and looking at the number of parents who flocked to see the activities going on, the future looks very bright indeed for the school.
