Come along and meet the governors of Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust at the next meeting of the Board of Governors on Wednesday 17 November 2010, at the Brentwood Council Chambers, Ingrave Road, Brentwood, at 2pm.
The Board of Governors has 27 public governors representing Thurrock, Basildon, Brentwood and the rest of Essex. Their role is to act as the voice of the local community and oversee the plans and performance of Basildon and Orsett Hospitals.
All meetings are held in public and local people are welcome to attend. You will have an opportunity to meet the elected governors who represent you and learn more about how hospital services are provided, developed and managed.
Public Governors are elected by the public members of the NHS Foundation Trust. All residents within the Essex County Council boundaries (over the age of 12) can join. Members receive a regular newsletter and can participate in surveys, focus groups, and meetings, if they wish.
