Laugh a minute as Eurobeat comes to the Gateway

There are a few things in life that we all are embarrassed to admit we love, or even love to hate. One of these guilty pleasures is the Eurovision Song Contest and it is coming to a theatre near you. Thurrock Thameside Musical Society are presenting the hit West End musical comedy, ‘Eurobeat..almost Eurovision’.
So what is it all about? Scott Dean the Director/Producer explains.

“Eurobeat is everything we have come to expect from a Eurovision Song Contest. Everything we love and everything that makes us cringe – elaborate costumes, cheesy songs, and the odd mistake!
It is set in Sarajevo and hosted by two local ‘stars’, Boyka and Sergei who introduce the acts from ten countries in their very own unique style of …well incompetentness. Each act has its own take on what they feel is a winning Eurovision entry and it is the audience who decides who is crowned as champion.
This will be the only performance you will come to where you are advised to keep your mobile phone switched on, (if only on vibrate) to enable you to vote for your favourite act. The show’s finale is different every night. If you love Eurovision you will love this show. If you don’t… you will love this show! ”

This hilarious musical is playing at the Gateway Academy, Chadwell St Mary from 18th-20th November and tickets are available from the society’s box office on
01245 471675.
