Postman Pat and friends go shopping


Watch out for Postman Pat, Nurse Glucose and Smiley O’Riley next weekend (Saturday 20 November 2010) – they are all going shopping!

The 2010/2011 pantomime at the Thameside Theatre, Grays is Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood starring Sarah Thomas (from BBC’s Last of the Summer Wine) as The Forest Fairy, Alex Marshall as Robin Hood, Mark Siney as Nurse Glucose, Postman Pat as himself!, Tobey Nicholls as The Sheriff of Nottingham, Carling Connor as Maid Marion, Matthew Shannon as Smiley O’Riley, Matthew Meddings as Plunkett. It runs for 63 performances between Friday 3 December 2010 to Sunday 9 January 2011.

Next Saturday (20/11) the cast will be out and about in Thurrock promoting the show and meeting many of the families that will be visiting the theatre this Christmas. Why don’t you come along and have your photo taken with Postman Pat and the Panto cast and say hello – we would love to see you. The timetable will be as follows:

10.30am – 11.00am Sainsburys, Chafford Hundred
12.30pm – 1.00pm Partyman World of Play, Brompton Walk, Lakeside Shopping Centre
1.00pm – 2.00pm The Malls of Lakeside Shopping Centre –see if you can spot which are the casts’ favourite shops!

Postman Pat is getting ready to deliver all the Christmas cards and letters to Santa, Nurse Glucose is on the lookout for some new shoes and a new handbag ready for opening night on Friday 3 December – no doubt she will entertain the crowds whilst shopping. Smiley O’Riley needs to do some food shopping at Sainsburys and would love to help you pack your shopping and Robin Hood is on the lookout for that special gift for Maid Marion!! Look out for them – it will be hard to miss them.

Tickets for the Pantomime are on sale and going fast, so book now to avoid disappointment and get the best seats in the house.
