STAFF at SOS Domestic Abuse Projects were delighted to receive a selection of the latest gaming equipment, thanks to a donation of £500 from Lakeside Shopping Centre’s Heart of the Community Campaign.
The Heart of the Community Campaign is an initiative run by Lakeside Shopping Centre, which aims to give something back to the local community through donations to charities that provide support and care for Essex residents.
SOS Domestic Abuse Projects support individuals and families who are victims of domestic abuse. The charity provides drop-in facilities, a telephone helpline, therapeutic support, supervised child contact and works with affected families in the local community.
Katie White, Marketing Coordinator for Lakeside Shopping Centre, says; “It was fantastic to meet the team at SOS Domestic Abuse Projects. The work they do here offers a lifeline to those who have suffered domestic abuse and we’re delighted to have been able to help them. It’s great to know that families will benefit from the new gaming equipment.
