There were packed audiences at Stifford Clays Infant and Nursery School this week.
The pupils put on five performances of a concert based on the Nativity story.
Each year the Whitmore Avenue, Grays, school holds collections for the Little Haven Hospice.
Head teacher, Linda Catton, said: “Each year we try to beat the previous year’s total and this year we certainly have!
“Families have been very generous, considering the financial climate.”
A massive £597 was raised and the school would like to thank everyone for their donations.
