Phil Beer is the multi-instrumentalist half of England’s foremost acoustic duo Show of Hands. His instrumental wizardry is well documented and has been utilised by countless artists over the years, the most notable being The Rolling Stones, Mike Oldfield and Steve Harley.
Fir many years he was lead guitarist and singer with the Albion Band and co-wrote many of their songs. He has also made many forays into film and television music as well as finding time to produce and record albums for other artistes.
The band plays a unique blend of folk ‘n’ roll which is quite unlike any other band currently on the circuit. They cannot be pigeonholed as Folk Rock! The Guardian once described their sound as “where Steve Earle & Richard Thompson Collide”.
