A CHAFFORD MAN was fined for dumping sacks of rubble in Epping Forest reports the Waltham Forest Guardian.

Olusegun Akinnusi, of Sewell Close, Chafford Hundred, was caught dumping 17 sacks of rubble opposite the Shell garage near the Wake Arms roundabout, between Loughton and Epping.

Akinnusi spotted on the petrol station’s CCTV cameras in May last year, after a passer-by reported seeing him leaving it nearby.

They traced the rubble back to his home near Grays, Essex, and he admitted to dumping it in Epping Forest, which is protected as an area of special scientific interest.

He was fined £67 by magistrates sitting at Harlow in December and also ordered to pay £100 in clean-up costs to the Corporation of London and another £538 to cover the cost of prosecuting him.
