IT HAS been a while since we caught up with Baroness Smith. We follow her speeches from the red benches on a regular basis as she is also shadow spokesperson for the Environment.
Baroness Smith was in Ockendon lending her support to the Labour Day of Action in the north of the borough. Ockendon is one of the keys seats in the borough along with Stanford West and Stanford East and Corringham Town.
YT spoke to Baroness Smith and asked for her assessment on the condition of the Labour Party on a national and a local basis.
I’m confused. I was out and about in Ockendon most of Saturday and the only people I saw out canvassing were wearing blue rosettes so I assumed they were the Tories. Were they? I didn’t see a soul wearing red Rosettes all day. Or maybe that’s the plan? Labour are not exactly popular in Ockendon at the moment so perhaps it was a cunning disguise?
I was also out and about on Saturday, and did see the two of the Labour Belhus councillors giving out leaflets, and promising anything you want, until after the election, then it will be, where did you say Belhus ward is?, our Belhus Cllr’s cant even find a wood that they claim, Howard Tenens have destroyed, good old Charlie Curtis who thinks he can walk on water, as told a meeting of Tenants and officials that he can over turn an official enforcement notice put there by the planning dept, In your dreams charlie, then he forgot to tell everybody that he was the Chairperson for Veolia Housing group, who want to build houses on the Howard Tenens Site, he is very forgetful or a bloody bad liar, and wonder which one?, I saw people throwing what looked like leaflets on the ground, surely thats littering Charlie.
I think that Mr.C.Curtis and Mrs.W.Curtis and Mrs S.Gray should all resign and do everybody a favour in the Belhus ward, and let somebody else do the job that you dont want to do, you have no intentions of supporting anybody in the Belhus ward, you are more Ockendon councillors than, Belhus councillors, if you rsign, you could then give your full support to the sad old fairy queen of SORA. and her lapdog and now truckwatcher (Tonka Savill).
